The good weather continues in Doolin.
Good news is that the new pier is progressing nicely.
All local tourism operators agree that this has been one of the best seasons ever. There are many contributing factors.
It is widely agreed that “The Wild Atlantic Way” and the increase in RyanAir flights to Shannon were major contributors. The Cliffs of Moher cliff walk from Liscannor to Doolin has proved very popular and it’s a wonder it took so long to make this route available.
Various highly successful festivals and events organised at the Hotel Doolin also attracted big numbers to the village.
Doolin Ferry companies have had their busiest season ever and are looking forward to the new pier for next season.
And than there was the weather, surely a big bonus. Even now in October the sun continues to shine on our beautiful village.
