2018 sponsorship of the Visit Doolin website and Facebook page confirmed.
Hi Folks.
You 4,300 blog subscribers are surely owed an update. Our Facebook 14,000+ followers too.
The blog has been largely inactive recently due to a lack of funding from our sponsor and our local listings.
We’re excited to announce that we have been granted an intern that will keep you all up to date going forward.
A puppy is not just for Christmas. Doolin is not just for the Summer. The craic continues here all year round. The music, hospitality, and unique character of Doolin is 24/7/365.
We are disappointed that some members of Doolin Tourism have been led astray by local politics. Our motive is their motive. PROMOTE DOOLIN. We have to heartily congratulate all on the Doolin Tourism steering committee for their sterling work over the last couple of years. They really show what a community uniting can do. A fabulous new website, a cohesive vision, and most of all a shared determination to establish Doolin as a landmark on the Wild Atlantic Way.
We are not and have never been in competition with Doolin Tourism. We simply have a more potent platform through our website and Facebook to promote Doolin which thankfully, due to our confirmed sponsorship and support from local business we will continue through 2018 and beyond.
It is heartwarming that all but 3 of our listings have already committed their support for 2018 and 5 new listings will appear as part of the site update.
Our Facebook administrators share the interesting posts from the Doolin Tourism C0-Op Facebook page to you guys but regrettably our actions are rarely reciprocated.
So, moving forward, we extend a previously offered and rejected idea to the Doolin Tourism Co-Op steering committee. Work with us. Tell us what you’d like us to do or not to do. Since our founder no longer involves himself in dtd micromanagement, we’d love your input. Indeed we’d like to have one of the Doolin Co-Op members act as an editor on our facebook page so that the content of our posts will always meet reflect the image of Doolin that we all wish to promote.
Kind regards,
Helen, Dave & Niamh.
